At the Scottish Learning Festival 2015, Chris van der Kuyl, entrepreneur and chairman of 4J Studios, delivered a keynote speech on the exponential growth in the digital sector and the challenges and opportunities we face as a nation in raising the next digital generation in Scotland.
He talked about being in the grip of a digital revolution and said, ‘If we are serious about our status as an innovative and creative nation we need to put talent and the talent agenda right at the top of our priority list.’
‘This will mean making changes. Deep rooted, systemic changes in almost everything we do in society. Our education system will need to be aligned with the dynamic creative digital economies of the 21st century and right now it’s just not happening.’
